Mission

Support ASM International to gather, process, and disseminate materials information within the Connecticut Chapter, through education, networking, and professional development for members, organizations served by our members, and the Connecticut materials community.

2020-2025 Goals

Support ASM International with three critical areas in which ASM International and ASM Connecticut Chapter must excel in order to ensure success and growth which are:

  • Membership: Aspire to an annual increase of up to 10% new members and enhanced engagement.

  • Technical content: Utilize ASM International developed webinars, web products, membership magazines, conferences, short courses, handbooks, journals, data and tools, software, and other ASM innovative new products for Connecticut Chapter members and the Connecticut materials community needs with greater area coverage and higher value to members.

  • Strategic partnerships: Develop enhanced partnerships with two or more Connecticut organizations per year through timed, tangible collaboration activities to strengthen the above two areas within the Connecticut Chapter region

Key Strategic Initiative

  • The ASM Connecticut Chapter will work on Young Professional Engagement to bring new, young members into our organizations. This will be done through a new Sustaining Member outreach program and specific innovative programming throughout the year to foster young professional interest using ASM International key strategic initiative tools and local expertise within industry and the educational community.
